Stalking the Wily Pterodactyl

John Pendleton, a Christian missionary and self-titled creation scientist, heads an organization called the International Group of Creation Scientists. He believes that the Earth is about 6,000 years old and that human and dinosaurs roamed it together. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin which he offers as proof of his scientific credentials.

His goal to capture a live pterodactyl, which he believes can be found in Mexico, according to Melissa Ludwig a reporter from the San Antonio News Express.

He debated Jim Bower, a computational biology professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio before a crowd of 1,300 students and churchgoers in the the campus convocation center last night.
